Camp Rocks!

  • What can we learn from soil and rocks contained in North Seatac Park? We will take a beginner geologist’s look at what makes up the foundation of the park.

Week 1: July 1-3

What grows?

  • This week we will discover all the things that grow in North Seatac! What grows, why does it grow here, and who is it for? From plants and trees to mushrooms and berries we’ll explore it all!

Week 2: July 8-12

Creepy Crawly

  • This week we will embrace all the tiniest critters we can see. How do they help our park and how scary are they, really?

Week 3: July 15-19

Times: 8:30-4:00PM

Fuzzy Wuzzy but no Bears

  • This week we will discover all the 4 legged creatures inhabiting North Seatac. What happens if we can’t see them, how do we know they’re here? This week we’ll do some animal tracking and learn how to use our “predator eyes”

Flying Friends

  • Did you know North Seatac Park is home to at least one owl (and he is not a friendly guy) but this week we will discover other - perhaps more friendly - flying creatures; we may even see a few airplanes….

Water WORLD

  • or is there? How does he North Seatac forest ecosystem get water? Is there a lake? Why is water important? These are just some of the questions we will discover the answers to this week.

Beyond the Sky

Sun, Rain, and Snow?

  • Even though the only weather pattern we’re likely to see is sun, we will talk about and experiment with different forms of weather and why they happen!

Earthly Crusaders

  • After a summer filled with exploring the different complexities that make up our world how can we help ensure systems stay in order? What harms those systems. This week we will practice many earth saving activities and learn why they are important.
